Somali Medical Association ( SMA ) is a professional voluntary organization open to all Somali Medical Doctors.
Somali Medical Association was established in 1999 by a group of Somali Doctors living in Somalia; since its establishment the number of
Somali Doctors has increased to around 1000 members.

Our Vission
To build a sustainable professional association of medical doctors that will advance the delivery of qualitative healthcare services through continuing. professional development, advocacy, research and public education in collaboration with another stakeholder errs.
- To promote the medical and related arts and sciences and to maintain the honor and the Interests of the medical profession.
- To aid in the furtherance of measures designed to improve the public health and to prevent disease and disability;
- To assist in the promotion of measures designed to improve standards of hospital and medical Services;
- To advise the government, other medical bodies and the general public on matters related to health.
- To promote continuing professional development through periodic publications, seminars and scientific conferences.
